Practice
History
We are a three-doctor
partnership situated at the top end of Nantgarw Road,
opposite the historic Caerphilly Castle. The surgery is
an old detached house, built in 1871 and later converted
for the purpose of General Medical Practice. The
premises have been in use for General Practice since
1936 and have all of the necessary modern facilities.
Senghenydd Health Centre
is a purpose built health centre situated at Parc Place,
Senghenydd. It was built in 1974 and has all necessary
facilities including health visitors and district nurse
rooms. The premises are easily accessible with plenty of
parking space.
Trecenydd Surgery merged with our
Practice when Dr Bashar retired in 2007.
The Practice covers the
areas of Caerphilly, Nantgarw, Senghenydd,
Abertridwr and Rudry. There is a health centre situated
in Senghenydd for those patients living in Senghenydd
and Abertridwr.
The Doctors believe in
providing family medicine and each Doctor looks after
all aspects of patients' health. In addition to general
medical services, the Practice provides maternity,
contraceptive, minor surgery and child health services.
We also perform cervical smears by appointment, and hold
regular asthma, hypertension and Diabetic clinics.
Patients are free to
consult with any of the Doctors in the Practice, but if
returning with the same problem, it is advisable to see
the same Doctor. |
